Toyota MR 2

The Toyota MR2 is a range of mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-seat sports cars that Toyota produced in Japan and sold globally from 1984 to 2007 in three generations.

The overall design of the car was given a more rounded, streamlined look, with some referring to the MR2 SW20 as a “small Ferrari” or “poor man’s Ferrari” due to design elements similar to the Ferrari 308 GTB/GTS or Ferrari 348. The second-generation MR2 on display has been completely rebuilt by a Japanese veilside design modifier. Thanks to the vast experience and admirable progress Veilside has gone through starting with body kits in the 1990s, they’ve built some seriously crazy cars. The name “Veilside” maybe unfamiliar to some enthusiasts, if not most, but the accomplishments of this company’s work speak in its favor. Yokomaku Hironao, the owner of the company, took the name Veilside from his first name; “Yoko” means “side” in English and “maku” means “veil” in English. Based in Japan, Veilside has a rich background in performance tuning that goes back to the 1990s. Since then, the company has been gradually evolving and has achieved huge success with distinctive modifications to some of the most spectacular JDM sports cars ever produced.
