The Toyota Supra is a sports car and grand tourer manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation beginning in 1978. The name “supra” is derived from the Latin prefix, meaning “above”, “to surpass” or “go beyond”.

The Turbo-A was Toyota’s evolution model for the Group A Japanese Touring Car Championship (JTCC) all over the world that required a minimum homologation run of 500 units.

The Turbo-A was manufactured for 2 months during the period of September and October 1988 and was available strictly in Japan.
