Maserati 3200 GT
Maserati 3200 GT
Maserati made history along the years, with the first race won at the Indianapolis 500 with the Maserati 8 CTF in 1939, the second won race at the same car competition in 1940 and in 1957 winning the famous Nurburgring racing competition.
Maserati was a proud name back in the 50s.
The 3200 GT had a 3.2 liter V8 engine developing 370 hp – 7 hp more than the Jaguar XKR. The rear-wheel-drive 3200 GT had a similar price to the XKR’s. The 3200 GT could rocket to 100 kph in 5.2 seconds.
Inside the 3200 GT we would find premium quality materials and nicely shaped twin toned leather trims. The chrome dial gauges were in a nice contrast with the silver matte accents used for the controls.
The exterior design was created by the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro who designed the Fiat Punto.
The front fascia looked aggressive with the lowered hood, the grille and the Maserati logo.
At the back, the unusual taillights gave it a distinctive look.
Talking about the trunk, the car’s shape would indicate that the load space was decent, however, most of it was taken by the fuel tank.
Overall, the 3200 GT was a fast car, with a smooth and lag-free engine.
