Chevrolet Corvette C3
The Chevrolet Corvette (C3) is a sports car that Chevrolet produced from 1967 to 1982 for the 1968 to 1982 model years.
The engines and chassis components were mostly taken from the previous generation, but the body and interior were new.
With 53,807 units produced in the 1979 model year, it set new sales records.
The C3 was the third generation Chevrolet Corvette and the second to carry the Corvette Stingray name, although only for the 1969-1976 model years.
This time it was just one word as opposed to Sting Ray, which was used for the 1963-67 generation C2.
Then the name was retired until 2014, when it returned with the introduction of the C7.
